Used to have this phone back in 2010. It had a very crappy camera and unreliable GPS receiver. Sold it as soon as I could and bought the excellent Nokia E72 which is still my second phone (along with Samsung Galaxy S5).

I owned this phone back in 2009, it was pretty high end with some cool tech : slow motion videos, a touchscreen and a mouse (it blew my friends mind), it had Windows... Apps were terrible but it was really a precursor on this domain.

Shadrach, 07 Aug 2009Hi ember, Do you have of a list of what was implemented in the current rom you're using? W... moresorry i can not exactly list down here the content of sector's rom but what he did was he removed some unnecessary programs or applications from DXIA5 and upgraded some applications like the .NET, the flash, i think and the google maps. he made the ROM lighter and faster which also improved the battery life
just go to www.modaco.com and look for sector's postings there. look for his cooked rom. he described there the improvements he made
cheers

For ROM upgrades, you can download through samsungmobile.com or check this link for the exe file. Choose your country and your PC operationg system:
http://www.samsung-omnia.org/rom-discussion/official-rom-upgrades-15march2009/
The difference between i900, i908, and i910 is the country where they were issued. Generally, it's i900, but in the US and I think Canada too there are i910's. General functions are the same. Tweaks are not the same. Not sure about i908 but as per Jin, he suspects that it's from HK.
Regarding battery life. Battery life depends on a lot of things. The battery itself (though these components are built to pass certain quality controls, it has been proven in all phones that faulty batteries exist. It is also dependent on how you took care of the initial charging. Lastly, the ROM you're using plays a vital ri=ole in battery life. Generally, the i900 battery is good for a phone of its class.

I had many problems 1-WiFi 2-screen touch 3-writing emails etc.. since I bought my device, but to be frankly these prob. were my mistakes, why? because I don't know how to use or do it (functions), but after I learned how to use it, I can say now am very happy with my i900 device, my mistake was I didn't open the manual and read it step by step like many others here I can read there claims and questions, thank to jin and others who are trying to help and solve many problems. Many thanks to SAMSUNG for their i900 device

I am not one of the many fans of the Samsung Omnia. I love its features and its versatility as a pocket computer but as a telephone it leaves me cold. I have had issues with receiving calls if an email comes through or the ringer will turn itself off if I ignore email alerts. The audio on my particular phone has been pooor to none existent. To hear calls I often have to turn on the speaker option. As a computer great device as a phone get me a Samsung SAGA.
